What’s Eyebrow Embroidery?
1. EYEBROW EMBROIDERY CAN CREATE DIFFERENT EFFECTS
Eyebrow Embroidery is the technique where the brow artist implants color pigment beneath the surface of the skin with tiny disposable needles. This helps to create fuller-looking brows, shape the eyebrows to the perfect design that fits individual face shapes.
There are two main types of Eyebrow Embroidery techniques to create different effects; the shading technique creates a misty or powdery effect and the microblading technique creates hair-like strokes that resemble your natural brow hairs.
2. EYEBROW EMBROIDERY IS NOT THE SAME AS EYEBROW TATTOO
Although both techniques work to insert pigment into the skin, Eyebrow Embroidery and Eyebrow Tattoo are not the same. Tattoo is a permanent coloring technique and the embroidery is considered semi-permanent makeup as the pigments will fade over time. Traditional Eyebrow Tattoos are relatively thinner and less natural-looking as compared to the Eyebrow Embroidery as the embroidery utilizes hand-drawn techniques to mimic the look of real brow hairs.
Besides, Eyebrow Embroidery and Eyebrow Tattoo use different kinds of ink. While traditional Eyebrow Tattoo may turn blue or green over time, Eyebrow Embroidery stays true to the original color even if the color fades over time.
3. EYEBROW EMBROIDERY IS DELICATE AND SAFE PROCESS
The whole process will take approximately 2 hours to complete. First, your brow artist will trim and design your eyebrows to the desired shape.
Then, a numbing cream will be applied for 15-20 minutes to ensure comfort throughout the process. The pigments will then be inserted into your skin with disposable needles.
In between the procedure, you can ask for a more numbing gel to be applied to keep the process pleasant.
It’s a delicate process, therefore, it’s important to have your Eyebrow Embroidery done by a certified and experienced brow artist to minimize the potential risk for infection.
4. SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR EYEBROW PENCIL FOR 12 TO 18 MONTHS
Eyebrow Embroidery usually lasts from 12 months to 18 months. The pigment will fade off gradually and you can do a touch up yearly to maintain your embroidered brows. Say goodbye to your eyebrow pencil and save time on your morning makeup routine.
